Wun Sze Chan

Wun Sze Chan has been teaching dance (classical ballet and contemporary dance) and GYROKINESIS® movement methods for over ten years. She works in both professional and educational settings with students ranging in age from 14 to 60. Alongside her extensive 22-year professional career as a contemporary ballet dancer, her curiosity led her to explore choreography. Wun Sze Chan has been active as a professional contemporary ballet dancer since 2004; she has performed with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich and Nederlands Dans Theatre II in The Hague, and has danced as a soloist with Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf since 2010.

In addition, Wun Sze is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Dance Pedagogy at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden (specialising in professional contemporary dance training) and is expected to graduate in the summer of 2027.

Through her work as a choreographer and her experiences in the choreographic process, Wun Sze’s understanding of dance and performance has expanded to encompass a sociocultural dimension. Along her journey, she discovered the common ground between dance choreography and teaching, finding her calling as a dance educator and choreographer in creating the foundation for meaningful, lifelong dance experiences.
