Stéphane Dalle

Principal Dancer, Ballet Master & Floor Barre Expert 

Training & Accolades
Born in Guise, France, Dalle trained with Solange and Serge Golovine, Raymond Franchetti, Jacqueline Fynnaert in Paris, and later at the School of American Ballet in New York under Gabriela Darwach, William Griffith, Stanley Williams, and Andrei Kramarewsky.
He earned early recognition with the Johnson Foundation Prize (Prix de Lausanne, 1984), was a finalist at the Varna Competition (1988), and received the Best Partner Prize at the Serge Lifar Competition in Kiev (1997).

Performance Career
From the mid-1980s to 2006, Dalle danced as a soloist and principal with world-class companies, including Ballet Bejart Lausanne, Ballet Frankfurt, English National Ballet, Het National Ballet Amsterdam, and Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley.

Ballet Master Career (since 2006)
Dalle has served as Ballet Master at Polish National Ballet (2011–2015), Royal Danish Ballet (2015–2017), and Ballet de l’Opéra national du Capitole, Toulouse (2018–2022).

Global Teaching & Floor Barre Leadership
He teaches classical ballet and the Boris Kniaseff floor barre method at elite institutions such as The Royal Ballet School, Staatsballett Berlin, English National Ballet School, Houston Ballet School, and more.

Dalle discovered floor barre during his performing years and immediately recognized its impact. He sees it as a transformative practice that enhances coordination, flow, and musicality—helping dancers move closer to the ideal of classical ballet.
